23 has significance in the NBA. It's a number that equates to greatness. Reserved for the best player on the team (usually) it's iconic meaning is never lost on even the most casual NBA fan. Now there's another 23 for the Blazers. Not a jersey number, but the Minnesota game marked the 23rd time in his NBA career that Brandon Roy has won or tied a game with either a shot, an assist or a defensive play.
Let me repeat that for those who are hard of reading: 23 times.
It took Allen Iverson until last season to hit a game-winner.
